Foxtel Australia to Host Nickelodeon and 'PAW Patrol' Pop-Up Channels Over Summer Holidays

The Australian pay television company Foxtel has announced that it is launching the first of seven Kids Pop-Up Channels with Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Cartoon Network and Boomerang programming beginning Friday, November 15, 2019!


These will be open to all set-top-box subscribers for over 15 weeks during the school holidays and over summer.

Each of the new Kids Pop-Up Channels will run for two weeks or more until they finish up Saturday, February 29, 2020. The news follows Foxtel hosting a SpongeBob SquarePants Pop Up Channel in September 2019 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nickelodeon's beloved animated series.

Foxtel’s new Kids Pop-Up Channels in order of broadcast on Channel 700:

The Cartoon Network Classics Pop-Up Channel is the first Kids Pop-Up channel to launch on November 15 from 6am and running to November 29. The classic Cartoon Network programming featured includes The Flintstones, The Jetsons, The Tom & Jerry Show, Ed, Edd N’ Eddy, Cow & Chicken, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Samurai Jack, Dexter’s Laboratory, and Johnny Bravo.

Nickelodeon’s PAW Patrol Pop-Up Channel (shouldn't that be Pup-Up?) will follow starting on November 29 and running to December 13 featuring back-to-back mega-hit PAW Patrol for two whole weeks.

In the lead up to Christmas, the Looney Tunes Pop-Up Channel will launch from December 13 to December 27 featuring Baby Looney Tunes, New Looney Tunes, The Looney Tunes Show, Taz-Mania, Bugs Bunny, and The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries.

Over the New Year, Cartoon Network is launching the Scooby-Doo Pop-Up Channel from December 27 to January 10 with two weeks of everyone’s favourite dog and detective squad in Scooby-Doo back-to-back.

The Nick Summer Pop-Up Channel will follow on from January 10 to January 24 with popular Nickelodeon shows SpongeBob SquarePants, Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty, The Loud House, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Henry Danger, new reality series America’s Most Musical Family, Sam & Cat, iCarly, Victorious, Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, CatDog, School Of Rock, Knight Squad, The Thundermans, Big Time Rush, Game Shakers, and 100 Things To Do Before High School.

The Cartoon Network Lego Pop-Up Channel will air from January 24 to February 7 featuring all the best of the Lego programming including Lego Friends, Lego Friends – Girls On A Mission, Ninjago, Ninjago – Master Of Spinjitzu, Nexo Knights, and Mixels.

Rounding out the summer is the final Pop-Up Cartoon Network Superheroes Pop-Up Channel from February 7 to February 29 including Bakugan, Transformers, DC Super Hero Girls, Green Lantern, Justice League Unlimited, The Batman, Thundercats, and Teen Titans.


Foxtel Kids is home to the best in kids’ television from Disney, Disney Junior, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., CBeebies, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and Discovery Kids including kids’ favourite characters such as SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, PJ Masks, Henry Danger, and DC Super Hero Girls. Foxtel is also home to two dedicated kids’ movie channels Foxtel Movies Kids and Foxtel Movies Family with all movies shown ad-break free. Foxtel Kids offers a safe and controlled environment for kids’ viewing with parental controls and a dedicated Kids Homepage on the iQ4 and the Foxtel GO App to keep the kids entertained in the car, out and about or at home.
