For the 5 on the Farm Festival, the ViacomCBS channel has hired York’s Wrapped Agency to handle cross channel brand communications, while Manchester’s CWM will deliver regional and lifestyle media relations.

“We are always looking for new ways to connect with our loyal audiences and bring them even more opportunities to engage with their favourite programmes,” said Ben Frow, Director of Programmes for ViacomCBS’s UK networks.

“What better way to celebrate the best of Yorkshire and our most-loved shows than by giving viewers the chance to meet all their favourite stars, take part in fun activities and spend the day at the home of This Week on the Farm.”

Last year, Channel 5 confirmed that Yorkshire drama, All Creatures Great and Small, would be returning for a second series.

Rob Nicholson said: “We had a real pinch yourself moment when Channel 5 approached us with the idea for this event.

“We are still blown away by how many people have been watching the show and we honestly cannot thank all our supporters and farm fans enough because it is undoubtedly due to their interest in the show that this has come about.

“Amanda is extremely popular nationally and her involvement can only make it more successful, and the Yorkshire vets are incredibly popular too.”

The working farm has been open to visitors since 1989, and people used to visit from around an hour’s drive away.

But now dedicated fans will travel the length of the country to see them.

Mr Nicholson said: “It makes us proud - we are a little farm in Barnsley and we feel we are punching above our weight in lots of ways. It is good for Barnsley and good for Yorkshire.”

Update (29/7) - ViacomCBS U.K. has announced that Lindeman’s Wines and outdoor clothing and camping company GO Outdoor will sponsor Channel 5’s inaugural 5 on the Farm summer festival at Cannon Hall Farm in South Yorkshire.

The festival is slated to have entertainment for all ages, including Ben Fogel from ‘New Lives in the Wild’, and Amanda Owen from 'Our Yorkshire Farm’. There will also be panels, workshops and live demonstrations for a total of more than 70 hours of live entertainment throughout the weekend.

“ViacomCBS U.K. is uniquely positioned to cater to all ages, from families with young children to hard-to-reach teenagers and young people,” says Virginia Monaghan, vice president, Events & Experiences, ViacomCBS Networks U.K. & Ireland. “We’re looking forward to working with Lindeman’s Wines, GO Outdoors and Parkdean to safely entertain British holidaymakers and festival fans through our branded events across the U.K.!”

Sponsors for the festival include Lindeman’s Wines and GO Outdoors, and both will have an increased presence at the festival, with booths and activities for festival goers, with the former having a mural dedicated to its carbon neutral presence.

Along with the festival, ViacomCBS U.K. has also partnered with Parkdean Resorts to ViacomCBS content from MTV (including MTV Weekender), Nickelodeon (Paw Patrol and SpongeBob SquarePants and Milkshake! (Milkshake! Mornings) to vacationers at 40 of their resorts.
