Richmond, VA - Richmond Raceway is joining forces with Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids, to bring the top-rated preschool series PAW Patrol, produced by Spin Master Entertainment, to America’s Premier Short Track as part of the NASCAR Playoff Race Weekend, presented by Who’s Your Driver, on Sept. 20-21. PAW Patrol will be featured prominently throughout race weekend from the Midway to the FanGrounds.

“As kids continue to drive NASCAR, we welcome the partnership with Nickelodeon and PAW Patrol to engage with young fans over our NASCAR Playoff Race Weekend,” said Richmond President Dennis Bickmeier. “The opportunity to partner with the top entertainment brand for kids will further enhance the experience for our young fans. ‘So here we go, PAW Patrol!’”

PAW Patrol’s Chase and Marshall will be featured as part of Nickelodeon’s activation and display in the Midway, along with the Richmond Raceway Kids Club (RR Kids Club). The RR Kids Club will also feature giveaways at the Spin to Win Wheel, branded ride-on carts featuring PAW pups, photo opportunities and more. Additionally, Chase and Marshall costumed characters will make their way through the FanGrounds, Richmond’s modernized infield, to engage with young fans and NASCAR drivers as part of Pre-Race Ceremonies presented by va811.com.

PAW Patrol will be featured on Richmond’s iconic track walls with signage and the property will also be integrated into the RR Kids Club through in-person and online promotions for registrations.

The RR Kids Club is designed to help kids 12 and younger engage with their favorite track and enjoy special race day activities. As a member of the RR Kids Club, members receive a membership card, lanyard, bag, access to excusive events and race day experiences, and exclusive email offers to parents. Richmond offers family friendly pricing for kids 12 and younger throughout the NASCAR season. Kids 12 and younger, save $25 off the adult ticket price in every grandstand for Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races at America’s Premier Short Track. For NASCAR Xfinity Series races, kids 12 and younger are free with a ticketed adult. In the FanGrounds, kids 12 and younger have a special ticket price for both single-day and race weekend passes. PAW Patrol, which was renewed in June for a seventh season on Nickelodeon, is currently the number-one ranked preschool show on television. The CGI-animated series, produced by Spin Master Entertainment), follows a pack of heroic pups—Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky, Zuma, Everest and Tracker – who are led by a tech savvy boy named Ryder. Together they work hard to show the people of Adventure Bay that “no job is too big, no pup is too small.” The series features a curriculum that focuses on citizenship, social skills and problem solving. A PAW Patrol feature film is currently in development.

PAW Patrol: Ready, Race, Rescue, the latest special for the series will be available exclusively at Walmart beginning on Sept. 3, and will air on Nickelodeon on Nov. 11. The 44-minute special follows the pups as they get ready to be the pit crew for their race hero, The Whoosh. When the legendary racer is unable to drive in the championship race, he calls on his biggest fan-pup Marshall to take the wheel and race in his place. Walmart will also be launching a Ready, Race, Rescue toy range to tie into the movie.

Richmond Raceway 2019 NASCAR Season

NASCAR returns “under the lights” at Richmond Raceway for the NASCAR Playoff Race Weekend presented by Who’s Your Driver on Sept. 20-21. America’s Premier Short Track will host the second race of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs with the Federated Auto Parts 400 playoff race on Saturday, Sept. 21, and start the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs with the Go Bowling 250 playoff race on Friday, Sept. 20.
