London - Nick Jr. UK & Ireland will unbox Nickelodeon's playful new preschool series Ryan’s Mystery Playdate, starring seven-year-old YouTube superstar Ryan of Ryan ToysReview, on Saturday 7th September 2019 at 11:00am. Created and produced by pocket.watch, the new studio creating global franchises from the YouTube stars and characters loved by Generation Alpha, the live-action series (20 episodes) follows Ryan as he tackles a series of imaginative, physical challenges and solves mystery box puzzles to reveal the identity of his playdate. Following launch, new episodes of Ryan's Mystery Playdate will air regularly on the Nick Jr. channel in the UK and Ireland.

In Ryan’s Mystery Playdate, Ryan, his parents and animated friends Gus the Gummy Gator and Combo Panda, work together to complete unique challenges and unlock mystery boxes that contain hints to help him discover who his mystery playdate is. The series encourages physical play, models positive family relationships and features a creative problem-solving curriculum.


In the series premiere, “Ryan’s Kickin’ Playdate/Ryan’s Viral Playdate,” airing Saturday 7th September 2019 at 11:00am, Ryan is put to the test with challenges ranging from stacking pancakes to catching slimy frogs before meeting his highly skilled playdate, karate black belt Kieran Tamondong. Then, Ryan must deflate a room full of whoopee cushions to reveal the identity of his internet superstar playdate. Sure to go viral, his featured guest is YouTube star MarMar (aka Marlin Ramsey Chan) who has over 3.3 million subscribers of his own.

In episode two, "Ryan's Kick-Flipping Playdate/Ryan's Experimental Playdate", premiering Sunday 8th September 2019 at 11:00am, Ryan shreds through extreme challenges with Tony Hawk, then tests his skills in a series of challenges.

Other notable guests appearing on the show as Ryan’s mystery playdate include; professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, Captain Man from Henry Danger Cooper Barnes, Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez, the world’s youngest astronaut Alyssa Carson, 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani, original Dance Moms cast member Nia Sioux and many more.
