Viacom Launches Nick Play VoD App on Virgin Media in the UK

Customers To Be Given Access To Long Form Content Via The Nick Play App



London 30th May 2018: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) today announced the UK debut of its first mobile streaming app featuring long form content, with the launch of Nick Play on Virgin Media. Effective from today, Virgin Media customers who subscribe to Nickelodeon channels, will have free access to the Nick Play VOD mobile app.

Virgin Media customers who download the Nick Play app will be able to unlock and watch a wide selection of Nickelodeon content on-demand, including full-length episodes and short form content. Popular titles available on-demand in the Nick Play app include The Thundermans, Hunter Street, Henry Danger, SpongeBob SquarePants and Pig, Goat, Banana, Cricket.

Nick Play is part of Viacom’s wider suite of channel branded mobile applications for its core global brands, giving audiences direct access to a VOD content library and market-by-market short form originals. Virgin Media customers will be the first in the UK to have access to the Nick Play app.

Nickelodeon content continues to make an impact on linear channels with the network achieving its highest share for ten years in 2017, maintaining its position as the #1 commercial kids’ network. The Thundermans and Henry Danger were the number one and two most watched live action shows in 2017 on Nickelodeon.
