Tongaat Student Needs Fans' Votes To Be Crowned Nickelodeon Africa's Ultimate Toy Sprint Champion

South Africa: Grade 6 pupil, Tiahna Raghoonundun (11) from Flambel Primary School in Tongaat is among 12 finalists vying to be crowned Ultimate Toy Sprint Champion. She is one of the four KZN (KwaZulu-Natal) finalists competing in the Nickelodeon Toy Sprint with Toys “R” Us, and is representing Tongaat.


Tiahna took part in the second leg of the competition on Saturday 29th July 2017 and was among the finalists.

“I am very excited to take part in this competition. I went to the second leg of the competition in Gateway last month,” Tiahna told News24

Her mother, Pamela, said: “We would like to encourage the public to vote for her as she stands the chance of winning a trip to the Dominican Republic.”

The grand winner will receive an all-expenses paid 5 night stay at the brand new Nickelodeon Hotels and Resorts Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Fans who cast your vote and enter their details on the website also have the chance to win a Nintendo Switch.

Tiahna is one of the four contestants from KZN, four from Johannesburg and four from Cape Town. The 12 finalists of the 2017 Nickelodeon Toy Sprint are: Aishania, Chad, Julie, Keagan, Keenan, Meleeha, Nickholis, Nikhil, Singabakho, Tahil, Tiahna, and Vanya.

The winners of the Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg sprints are now going head-to-head in an online video battle, in which fans can vote for the contestant they want to see crowned the Ultimate Toy Sprint Champion online at NickAfrica.com. Voting closes on Thursday 31st August 2017! Good luck to all the finalists! :)
