Kevin Iwaki, Superstar Nickelodeon Archivist, Passes Away

The Nickelodeon Animation Studio is reporting the very sad news that Kevin Iwaki, who was part of Nickelodeon Animation's Archive and Resource Library team, unfortunately passed away last week. You can read Nickelodeon Animation Studio's very touching tribute to Kevin below:

"We lost one of our dear coworkers, Kevin Iwaki, last week. He was one of the superstars on our Nick Archives team that helped curate so much of the wonderful artwork that we’ve shared on our page. Him and his team were essential in celebrating 25 Years of Nickelodeon Animation. Not only was Kevin a great Archivist, but he was also a fountain of Nick information and cared so much about the work he was doing and the people he worked with.

You’re kindness, generosity and friendly smile will be sorely missed, Kev. We'll be sure to honor your legacy by continuing to share the treasures you were so excited to uncover.

Our hearts and prayers are with Kevin's family and friends during this difficult time."

Below is a interview that the Nickelodeon Animation Studio did with Kevin as part of the studios Artists in Action! series:
