Colin Critchley Shares Behind-the-Scenes Secrets From The "Legends of the Hidden Temple" Set

Nickelodeon is making '90s Nick Kids dreams come true with the debut of the networks brand-new highly anticipated TV Movie Event, Legends of the Hidden Temple, which Nick USA will be premiering on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

Inspired by the network's iconic '90s game show of the same name, the live-action film follows three siblings - Sadie (Isabela Moner), Noah (Colin Critchley), and Dudley (Jet Jurgensmeyer) - as they work to conquer a series of obstacles after wandering off a boring temple tour (lead by original Legends host, Kirk Fogg). Legends of the Hidden Temple is even bringing back much-loved elements of the show such as Olmec (voiced by the original Olmec, Dee Bradley Baker) and the scary temple guards, and will feature cameos from a green Monkey, red Jaguar, and Silver snakes, among others!

To celebrate the debut of Nickelodeon's brand-new Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie, Colin Critchley, who portrays Noah in the film, recently revealed some behind-the-scenes secrets about the movie and his co-stars, Isabela Moner and Jet Jurgensmeyer, to M Magazine, Twist and J-14, which you can check out below!:

'LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE'S COLIN CRITCHLEY SPILLS SET SECRETS ABOUT JET JURGENSMEYER AND ISABELA MONER

Nickelodeon fanatics have been eagerly awaiting the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie, which is based off the classic '90s game show, and the entire production seems epic. So what was it really like behind the scenes? Colin Critchley, who plays Noah, spilled all — and told us what his co-stars, Jet Jurgensmeyer and Isabela Moner, were really like on set.

"Jet and I had a contest every day to see who could get into their wardrobe the fastest. Our trailers were right next to each other and we would race to get our wardrobe on and then see who could get outside first. Isabela was obsessed with the Candy Crush game and she would always play it on the way to the set. She also loved listening to music on her headphones and singing between takes," he told M.

With such a fun-loving cast, do they have any plans to screen the finished movie together? Actually, that already happened! It was kind of like a mini-reunion, and they watched the film with the rest of the cast as well. For the television premiere, Colin has a viewing party planned.

He spilled, "I got to see the movie for the first time with Isabela and Jet and Kirk Fogg and Dee Bradley Baker at a screening out in L.A. It was so great to see everyone again and we all loved the final product. For the TV premiere, I am inviting a bunch of my friends and family and we are going to have a viewing party. I can't wait for everyone to see the movie! I hope they love it as much as I loved making it."

Legends of the Hidden Temple premieres on Saturday, November 25 on Nickelodeon. Are you excited for the movie? Do you think their set sounds fun?

Colin Critchley Shares Behind-the-Scenes Secrets From the 'Legends of the Hidden Temple' Set

Nickelodeon's Legends of the Hidden Temple movie primarily takes place in a mysterious Mayan temple, so it's definitely not your everyday setting — and neither was the set. The film follows three siblings who get caught inside and must go through tricky obstacles and challenges to make it out alive. TWIST recently spoke to Colin Critchley, who plays middle child Noah, and he shared everything from the secret material the set was actually made out of to the one prop he would love to take home with him.

The actor told us, "I remember walking onto the sets for the first time and just being so overwhelmed by the sheer size of everything. The design was incredible and some rooms transformed from one thing into the other. Also, some rooms were built on top of each other, which was really cool. It was so realistic looking that you felt like you had been transported to a Mayan temple. And the most amazing thing was that everything was made out of foam. I think the viewers will be so amazed by the sets."

Based on just the trailer, we're already impressed! Out of all the props that he interacted with during filming, a few that caught his eye, but one is the ultimate.

"There are so many things that I actually tried to take, like the backpack I wore throughout the movie and the pendant of life (neither of which I got, but I haven't given up hope yet). But the ultimate thing to take from the set would be the Olmec statue. Who wouldn't want an Olmec head in their room giving them advice on a daily basis? My parents would probably make Olmec tell me to clean my room," he joked.

Colin Critchley Reveals the Craziest Moment From Filming 'Legends of the Hidden Temple'

Filming movies can sometimes get a little wild, especially when you're working on an action-adventure film! Colin Critchley, who plays Noah in Nickelodeon's Legends of the Hidden Temple movie, spilled all about the craziest moment that happened during filming. It involved his co-star Jet Jurgensmeyer — and a lot of very expensive equipment.

"During the shooting of the moat scene when the three of us were on the raft being chased by Thak and the temple guards, Jet and I fell into the moat. What made it worse was that we were wearing very expensive microphones and equipment," he told us.

"We had to quickly change and get back onto the raft before the sun went down. For the rest of the day, we had learned our lesson and kneeled on the raft between takes so that we didn't fall in. It was a crazy moment!"

That definitely sounds scary! Thankfully, it all worked out in the end.
