Nickelodeon Announces Season Two of Toon-Talking Nickelodeon Animation Podcast Series Beginning in November



BURBANK, Calif.– (Oct. 20, 2016) – Nickelodeon announced today that Rocko’s Modern Life creator Joe Murray will participate in a live podcast recording for the Nickelodeon Animation Podcast at Entertainment Weekly’s PopFest Sunday, Oct. 30, from 12:15-1:00 p.m. in Los Angeles. Hosted by Hector Navarro (Geek & Sundry), Murray will share career stories and discuss bringing to life Rocko’s Modern Life in front of a live audience. In addition, the Nickelodeon Animation Podcast will return for a second season (20 episodes) in November with new weekly episodes available on iTunes, SoundCloud, YouTube and nickanimationpodcast.com.

Murray’s live recording will be available soon across the Nickelodeon Animation Podcast platforms. Additional season two guests including: Ciro Nieli (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Traci Paige Johnson and Angela Santomero (Blue’s Clues), along with accomplished voice actors Tara Strong (The Fairly OddParents), and Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), among others.


Season two will continue to give voice to the creators and talent who bring to life some of the most innovative, hilarious, and heart-tugging animation in the history of television. The series features Nick-affiliated talent as well as animation visionaries from across the industry. Each episode will discuss creator and talent life stories, careers and the inspirations behind some of the most iconic cartoons.

Host Hector Navarro is a self-described “cartoon nerd” who has lived and breathed animation his entire life. He's a host on Geek & Sundry Twitch Channel, as well as co-host of SuperHero News on YouTube. Hailing from San Diego, Calif., Navarro has a degree in Media Arts and Animation from The Art Institute of California, and is a former Nickelodeon intern. His preferred method of bending is water and his favorite characters include Angelica from Rugrats and Leo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

PopFest is a two-day event full of screenings, panel discussions, one-on-one Q&As, comedy showcases, footage drops, and musical performances, all of which are aimed at bringing the pages of the magazine to life and connecting readers with the artists, actors, writers, directors and performers they’re most passionate about.
