Today, Nickelodeon’s SLIMEFEST completely lived up to its name, turning thousands of Sydney kids and families green at Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre. Australia’s favourite celebrity families, including STEVE WILLIS, PRINNIE STEVENS and MARK GASNIER, attended to celebrate the premiere of Sydney’s SLIMEFEST.

Hosted by DELTA GOODREM, the epic event featured tonnes of slime, stunts and performances by international headliner OMI, HAVANA BROWN, G.R.L., IN STEREO, MASHD N KUTCHER and MEGAN NICOLE. DELTA was in charge of the slime and didn’t disappoint, unleashing slime mayhem on the excited Sydney crowd.

“It was amazing to experience the buzz and excitement at SLIMEFEST today. The kids couldn’t wait to get slimed and of course, neither could I! It was truly a moment I’ll never forget,” said DELTA.

DELTA opened the show with her brand new smash hit River before heading into a Wings/Dear Life mash-up, which saw slime fly out of her piano and into the crowd – and that was only the start! Australia’s hottest export HAVANA BROWN wowed the crowds with a debut performance of her brand new single Like Lightning, before pumping out her top hits, We Run the Night, Big Banana, You’ll Be Mine and Warrior. Boy band and teen heartthrobs IN STEREO sent their fans crazy with She’s Rock and Roll, Make Your Daddy Like Me and Honest. They finished their set by throwing their arms in the air and unleashing a shower of slime rain onto the ecstatic crowd.

Newly reformed G.R.L., got the kids up and dancing to their global hits, Wild, Wild Love, Don’t Talk About Love, Rewind and Ugly Heart in their first arena performance since announcing their comeback this year. Jamaican pop sensation OMI, kept the crowd bopping with his global smash hits Hula Hoop, Drop In The Ocean and Cheerleader. The final SLIMEFEST performance was by Brisbane based DJs MASHD N KUTCHER, who “mashed” up favourite Nickelodeon theme songs to create the ultimate Nickelodeon dance tune!

SLIMEFEST wouldn’t be complete without a final EPIC sliming, Nickelodeon style! DELTA, along with all the SLIMEFEST performers, returned back on-stage to take on SLIMEFEST’s official dance – the MAYHEM MOVE, before being covered head to toe in the glorious green goo.

Omi’s 2015 album, ME 4 U, introduced the incredibly catchy “Hula Hoop” as its first single.

HAVANA BROWN
LA-based pop artist and DJ, Havana Brown has steadily taken over the charts as well as the world’s dance floors. She has amassed almost 1 Million loyal Facebook fans, sold over 2.5 million singles worldwide, and amassed over 40 million streams. Havana’s single “We Run the Night” reached Triple Platinum in Australia and debuted on the ARIA Singles Chart at #7. The single went on to sell over 1 million units in the U.S., and hit the Top 30 on iTunes in over 30 countries across the globe. Her debut album “Flashing Lights” debuted on the ARIA Albums Chart at #6 and contained “We Run The Night” as well as Double Platinum single “Warrior” and Platinum Single “Big Banana.”

G.R.L
G.R.L. is a multi-platinum selling girl group formed by Robin Antin. The group consists of members Lauren Bennett, Natasha Slayton and Jazzy Mejia. They have enjoyed huge success in Australia with their debut single “Ugly Heart” going four times platinum and their hit with Pitbull “Wild Wild Love” landing straight in the Top 10.

The band tragically lost their member Simone Battle in September 2014. After a brief hiatus the group re-emerged and continued as a quartet releasing “Lighthouse” as a tribute to Simone. The single went on to chart in the Top 40 in Australia. The group is set to enter the studio to record new music later this year, and are in the planning stages of a G.R.L world tour in 2017.

IN STEREO
In Stereo is an Australian boy band consisting of members Jacob Delgado, Efan Karpathy and Christopher Lanzon. The group took Australia by storm with their debut performance on the 2015 X Factor auditions, winning the hearts of teenage girls all over Australia and garnering over 2 million views online. The band’s audience continues to grow at an extremely rapid rate via weekly episodes of ‘The In Stereo Show’ (a web series exclusively supported by Facebook), which now reaches over 350,000 fans each week.

The band’s debut EP “She’s Rock N Roll” reached #11 ARIA ALBUM DEBUT and #2 AUSTRALIAN ALBUM DEBUT in the week of release and saw the band selling out venues across the country.

MASHD N KUTCHER
Mashd N Kutcher are definitely NOT your average DJs! Combining their love for music and skills in drumming and keyboard playing, their first single “Do It Now” achieved gold status and gained support from radio stations across the country. They have become the fastest growing online DJ brand in the Australian music industry this year, with hundreds of thousands of followers across Facebook, YouTube and social networks.
