Nickelodeon's "Peter Rabbit" Wins Two Awards At The 2016 Daytime Emmy Awards

Peter Rabbit wins two Emmy Awards

New York, London – 3 May 2016

Silvergate Media ("Silvergate"), the international TV production and licensing company focused on pre-school children's entertainment based in New York and London, is thrilled to announce that Peter Rabbit, its 3D Computer-generated imagery animated TV series for pre-schoolers has won two Daytime Emmy awards.


Peter Rabbit won the Outstanding Special Class Animated Program award and also won the Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation award (Storyboard Artist, Benjamin Sanders). Peter Rabbit was also nominated for Outstanding Direction in an Animated Program.

Peter Rabbit was developed by Silvergate and Penguin Books. Beatrix Potter's classic character, Peter Rabbit, returned to the screen in 2013, in a brand new 3D animation series for Nickelodeon (Nick Jr) and the BBC (CBeebies).

When the series launched on Nick Jr in 2013, it hopped to the top of the charts delivering 1.7 million viewers. The premiere also ranks as Nick's highest-rated preschool series premiere since 2011.


Since its debut in 2013, Peter Rabbit has won a number of Emmys, with this new award being its sixth.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter was first published in 1901, and has never been out of print since. Over the course of its 110-year history, it has sold more than 250 million copies, been translated into 35 different languages, and led to one of the world's oldest licensed product ranges. In partnership with co-producers Nickelodeon and publishers Frederick Warne, Silvergate has developed Peter Rabbit into a new 3D Computer-generated imagery (CGI) animated TV series for preschoolers.

The new animation is an inspiring and playful re-imagining of Beatrix Potter's timeless children's classic. Mischievous, charming and brave, Peter is a hero who overcomes obstacles, outwits predators and avoids danger as he embarks on a series of exciting adventures with his best friends Benjamin and Lily.
