Nickelodeon Announces Annecy International Animated Film Festival and Market (MIFA) 2015 Program

Nickelodeon has unveiled their Annecy International Animated Film Festival and Market (MIFA) 2015 program!

Every year at the beginning of June, Annecy in France becomes the capital of animated film for six days. It is an opportunity for professionals and fans to discover new productions from around the world. Since 1960, the city of Annecy in Haute-Savoie has hosted the Festival International du Film d'Animation d'Annecy (Annecy International Animated Film Festival), an event that brings together fans and professionals of the sector. For six days, the city comes alive through screenings held in various venues across the city and on the Pâquier, a vast outdoor promenade along Lake Annecy. Each edition focuses on a different theme.

The festival also enables professionals to meet at the Marché International du Film d’Animation (Mifa, or International Animation Film Market). This three-day event is dedicated to the development of the animation industry to encourage the creation of projects and distribution of works, promote inter-professional exchanges and meetings, close partnerships and co-productions, and also discover the latest trends in the sector.

As part of this years Annecy International Animated Film Festival and Market, Nickelodeon will be showcasing Nickelodeon's Global Animated Shorts Programme!

All of these ingredients have combined to make not only an exciting group of shorts, but has also helped Nick find some of their next big Nickelodeon animated series.

During this presentation, attendees will discover what Nickelodeon looks for in a submission, who should apply and what resources are available to help talent showcase their individual creative voice.
