Nickelodeon Orders Brand New Slow-Motion Physical Gameshow "Split / Second" To Series For Official Website

The official website of the television industry magazine Broadcast is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon News in the following article that Nickelodeon has ordered a brand new slow motion physical gameshow from ZigZag Productions called "Split / Second" to series for the networks official website!

The Viacom-owned broadcaster has commissioned a initial order of 15 episodes of the gameshow with the duration to be decided. Nickelodeon will initially launch the series online and has the option to move the show to traditional TV.

The news comes over a year after the kids channel originally piloted the gameshow.

"Split / Second" is designed to test the pace of contestants' reactions. Entrants will be whittled down via a series of fastest-first challenges, building to a head-to-head final. It will not be possible to tell with the naked eye which contestant wins games such as bursting a balloon the quickest, with drama injected via super-slow-motion replays of the events.

The show was commissioned by Nickelodeon's US vice president of original programming Jon Radler and will be executive produced by Zig Zag boss Danny Fenton and executive vice president (EVP) of Zig Zag USA Matt Gould:
