Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is based on four mutant turtles—Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo, who have been trained in the art of ninjutsu by their sensei, Splinter. Designed by the artists of Macy's Parade Studio, the new float, unfolding with breathtaking ninja precision, will feature a spectacular dark cityscape including roof tops, fire escapes, window ledges and a zip line down telephone wires.
Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premiered on Sept. 29 and was an instant hit, drawing almost 12 million viewers during its premiere weekend. The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is funnier and “ninja-ier” than ever before. The action comedy explores the camaraderie of four teenage brothers learning to rely on one another as they unravel the mystery of their existence and train to become the heroes they’re destined to be. The series airs regularly on Saturdays at 11 a.m. on Nickelodeon.
The 86th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade airs nationwide on NBC-TV, on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 from 9 a.m. – noon in all time zones.
