Nickelodeon Scandinavia And Nickelodeon Benelux Pick Up The Broadcast Rights To Alphanim's "Santapprentice"

Nets delve into Alphanim library

Broadcasters across the globe have acquired library programming from France's Alphanim.

Among the deals, Discovery Kids (Asia) has acquired France Televisions/Canal+ coproduction Pok & Mok (78x7′), along with EBS (South Korea), YLE (Finland) and Canal+ (Poland).

Discovery Kids also bought The Mysteries of Alfred Hedgehog (52x13′), while Canal+ has taken on Potatoes and Dragons (78x7′), Ralf the Record Rat (104x1′) and X-Duckx (78x8′).

Other deals include Taiwan's Eastern TV buying Cooking? Child’s Play (39x8′), Nickelodeon acquiring Santapprentice (52x13′) for Scandinavia [Nickelodeon Scandinavia; including Nickelodeon Denmark, Nickelodeon Norway, and Nickelodeon Sweden] and Benelux [Nickelodeon Benelux; including Nickelodeon Belgium and Nickelodeon Netherlands] and DR taking it to Denmark. Spain's ETB has bought three seasons of Galactick Football (78x26′).

Gaumont-owned Alphanim also secured further deals in Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey, Brazil and Slovenia.

Alphanim's "Santapprentice" is a Christmas themed movie/film about a young orphan who, due to every Santa Claus retiring every 163 years, is selected to replace Santa Claus when he retires.

Paris, France-based prodco Alphanim has announced a slew of new TV deals across Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and Brazil.

The France TV and Canal+ 78 x seven-minute animated co-production Pok & Mok was snapped up by Discovery Kids for its Asian feeds, and by EBS (South Korea), YLE (Finland), and Canal+ (Poland). Canal+ Poland has also scooped up Alphanim's Potatoes and Dragons (78 x eight minutes), Ralf the Record Rat (104 x one-minute), and X-DuckX (78 x eight minutes).

Mysteries of Alfred Hedgehog (52 x 13 minutes) has been taken by Discovery Kids Asia while Eastern TV has picked up Cooking? Child's Play (39 x eight minutes) for Taiwan.

Moving to Scandinavia, Nickelodeon has acquired Santa Apprentice (52 x 13 minutes) for all territories including rights to Benelux, and DR TV Denmark has also grabbed the series.

In Brazil, season two of adventure comedy Gawayn (52 x 13 minutes) has been nabbed by Globosat.

Rounding out the sales, Spain’s ETB has picked up all three seasons of Galactik Football (78 x 26 minutes), and in CEE and Turkey, Cooking? Childs’s Play (39 x eight minutes) has been purchased by RTV Slovenia, while ATV has snatched Turkish rights to The Small Giant (52 x 13 minutes), Toto Trouble (52 x 13 minutes), The Green Squad (52 x 13 minutes), Woofy (65 x five minutes) and Mouss & Boubidi (52 x one minute).
