The following article highlights a variety of licensing notes announced throughout September 2012. Items include an update on what should be a busy season for Nickelodeon's new TMNT television animation; a quick-service-restaurant agreement for DQ Entertainment; as well as a number of toy and general license/representation contracts for preschool media properties across international waters.

As Nickelodeon gets in gear for their new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, an array of licensing and merchandizing notes are likely to drop in over the coming weeks. The TMNT "Secret Sewer Lair Playset," for example, is expected to develop into one of the most in-demand toys for the 2012 holiday gift season.

But around the world, business keeps rolling along, as Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products assigns Riki Group (St. Petersburg, Russia) as the master licensing agent for the ninja turtle series, for the Russian, CIS, and Baltic markets. Riki Group is quoted as planning a cross-selling, franchise-building campaign for the property in tandem with TMNT's November 2012 local launch.
