The Escape Game to Host 'Rugrats: Search for The Losted Toys' Escape Room

A baby's gotta do what a baby's gotta do.

If you have ever wanted to live out your dreams of becoming a part of the Rugrats gang, you might finally get your chance. That’s because escape room company The Escape Game is partnering with Nickelodeon for an exclusive room based on the beloved Rugrats franchise, Collider reports.

Whether you play it in-person or virtually, the company promises a “ducky day” for all involved.

“Rugrats: Search for The Losted Toys” will put you in the middle of a major conflict between the kids and Angelica. Tommy Pickles’ older cousin has decided to mess with the kids by scattering their toys all around the house, however, she ended up losing her precious Cynthia doll in the process. In order for you and your crew to solve the escape room, you must find all of the toys while avoiding waking up Grandpa Lou from his nap.

This is The Escape Game’s newest addition to their Virtual Escape Rooms offerings. While you can find the Losted Toys in Las Vegas, Nevada, and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, you will also be able to experience the game entirely on Zoom. The Escape Game’s Virtual Escape Rooms connect an online group to an Escape Game employee that will be your eyes and ears throughout the hour. Participants will direct and instruct the guide from their computers to find all of the toys they need. If you are in need of a visual aid, you can watch a Virtual Escape Room in action here.

The collaboration is to celebrate both the show’s 30th anniversary and the release of its Paramount+ CGI reboot.

"Everyone at The Escape Game is so excited about Rugrats: Search for the Losted Toys," Teddy Cheek, Senior Director of Marketing at The Escape Game, told SYFY WIRE. "Creating a Rugrats escape room was so fun for our team and sometimes, it's hard to believe that this is actually our job. The game brings the world of Rugrats to life in honor of the show’s 30th anniversary and it's full of callbacks and Easter eggs like Reptar, Spike’s house, and even Angelica’s Cynthia doll. We're very proud of the game and cannot wait to watch our guests attempt to escape their playpen and find the ‘losted toys.’”

“Rugrats: Search of the Losted Toys” will have a limited run from June 18th to January 2nd, 2022. Visit The Escape Game’s website for more information and to sign up for updates.

Refreshments won't be provided, so you'll have to bring your own Reptar Bars.

Celebrate 30 Years of Nickelodeon’s Rugrats With “Search for The Losted Toys” From The Escape Game!

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Nickelodeon’s Rugrats, The Escape Game and ViacomCBS have teamed up to create a limited-edition escape room to honor the iconic, fan-favorite television show. “Search for The Losted Toys” will appeal to the now adult fans of Rugrats and use the show’s beloved characters, unique storytelling methods and visual style to create an immersive experience to remind nostalgic players why they fell in love with these babies three decades ago. Rugrats enthusiasts will be able to access the experience both in-person at The Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and the King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, as well as virtually worldwide from June 18 through January 2, 2022.
