Nickelodeon and Paramount+ Release Sneak Peek of Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years

All-New Animated Series Coming Soon to Paramount+

BURBANK, Calif.-January 10, 2021-Nickelodeon and Paramount+ today released a sneak peek of the all-new Paramount+ Original Series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years during a special halftime presentation of the NFL Wild Card Game on Nickelodeon. In the sneak peek of the series premiere, "The Jellyfish Kid," a young SpongeBob is determined to catch his first jellyfish and his friends do whatever they can to help him.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio, the series is coming soon to Paramount+, ViacomCBS' upcoming subscription video on-demand service. Following the season's run on Paramount+, the series will air on Nickelodeon later in the year.

In the first-ever SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff, the CG-animated prequel follows 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants and his pals as they spend their summer building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish, and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at the craziest camp in the kelp forest, Kamp Koral.

Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years features Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) reprising their iconic roles. Carlos Alazraqui (The Casagrandes) and Kate Higgins (Blaze and the Monster Machines) join as new characters Nobby and Narlene, narwhal siblings who live in the woods surrounding the camp.

Marc Ceccarelli (SpongeBob SquarePants), Vincent Waller (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Jennie Monica (SpongeBob SquarePants) are co-executive producers of the series. Production of Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years is overseen by Kelley Gardner, Vice President, Current Series Animation, Nickelodeon.

Since its launch July 17, 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has reigned as the number-one animated series on TV for the last 18 years, while generating a universe of beloved characters, pop culture catchphrases and memes, theatrical releases, consumer products, a Tony Award(R)-winning Broadway musical and a global fan base. SpongeBob SquarePants is the most widely distributed property in ViacomCBS Networks International history, seen in more than 170 countries and territories, translated in 30+ languages, and averaging more than 100 million total viewers every month. Original post:

Fans got to fall in love with the ever-bubbly and porous SpongeBob SquarePants when he was living in a pineapple under the sea back when the Stephen Hillenberg-created show launched on Nickelodeon the summer of ’99. Twenty-two years later, fans will now get to experience SpongeBob before he was perennially donning a tie and flipping patties at the Krusty Krab, having nautical, nonsensical fun at summer camp.

Today, Nickelodeon and Paramount Plus (the soon to be rebranded CBS All Access) dropped a six-minute sneak peek of the all-new SpongeBob SquarePants prequel, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years during the slimy, family-friendly halftime presentation of the NFL Wild Card Game on Nickelodeon. The CG-animated spinoff series follows a 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants and his pals as they spend their summer building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish, and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at the craziest camp in the kelp forest, Kamp Koral.

In this first preview, “The Jellyfish Kid,” SpongeBob is determined to catch his first jellyfish— an important rite of passage in the world of Bikini Bottom —with the aid of his friends. The Nickelodeon Animation Studio production features most of SpongeBob’s original voice cast, with Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabbs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) reprising their legendary roles.

Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years is executive produced by SpongeBob SquarePants veterans Marc Ceccarelli, Vincent Waller and Jennie Monica, and is overseen by Kelley Gardner, Vice President, Current Series Animation, Nickelodeon.
