Nick Jr. Too UK Debuts 'The Day Henry Met…' Season 4; To Premiere on Nick Jr. Italy on Monday 20th January 2020

The latest season of Wiggleywoo’s popular animated preschool series The Day Henry Met… is slated to launch on Nick Jr. in Italy (Italia) on Monday 20th January 2020 and has set premieres on the channel in 178 other countries.


Other broadcasters that will air season four include RTÉjr in Ireland, TV3 Catalunya in Spain, Kids Central in the U.S., TVP in Poland, Ceska in the Czech Republic, Eesti in Estonia and Viaplay in Scandinavia. The series’ fourth season premiered on Tuesday 7th January 2020 on Nick Jr. Too in the U.K. and Ireland.

Nickelodeon acquired the international rights for The Day Henry Met… season four in May 2017.

Earlier seasons have recently been sold to Playkids, OCS, iDipper, TFOUMax, Azoomee and Kanopy, itunes, Google Play, Hoopla, BusyBee TV Roku, Microsoft XBOX and TV Azteca in Mexico. The series airs on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels across six continents, including the UK and Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark and Norway), Iceland, Benelux (Netherlands and Belgium), Finland, Iceland, Germany, Switzerland & Austria (GSA), Greece, Italy, Portugal, Central & Eastern Europe, Russia, Israel, Africa, South East Asia and Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East and Latin America, as well as on a range of free-TV channels, including Milkshake! in the U.K. and Ireland, RAI in Italy, ABC in Australia, TVO, TFO and Knowledge in Canada and on many SVOD platforms.

Additionally, two new publishers, de Agostini in Italy and Agyra in Greece, have signed up to publish a range of books based upon the series. Di Costa in Italy have created Henry Easter eggs with a gift inside and there will be a Henry promotion through kiosks in Italy, organized by Teaser Lab.

LMI has taken on the U.K. licensing and merchandising rights in the U.K. and 25 airlines are featuring the series in their inflight entertainment.

Aimed at the preschool audience, The Day Henry Met..? is a 2D animated preschool series that encourages children to use their imagination and discover the world around them through play and adventure. In every episode Henry, a charming, inquisitive little boy, meets something new, which becomes the focus of his journey of discovery and adventure, ultimately teaching viewers about real-life objects and occupations. The Day Henry Met a Whale!, The Day Henry Met the Moon!, The Day Henry Met a Postman!, The Day Henry Met a Knight! Hmmm, I wonder what Henry's going to meet today?

The Day Henry Met has built a legion of young fans across the globe.

The Day Henry Met is produced by Dublin-based Wiggleywoo Ltd. and distributed by Monster Entertainment. The series is funded by RTÉjr, The Irish Film Board, Section 481, Creative Europe and pre-sales. The new deal with Nickelodeon is a major coup for Monster Entertainment and Wiggleywoo, and is a boost for the digital and animation industry in Ireland.

The show was launched at MIP Junior 2015 and won the Pulcinella Award for Best European Work at Cartoons on the Bay in 2015. In March 2017 the series also won Best Animation at the Irish Animation Awards.
