Nickelodeon And Paramount May Team Up To Launch "Monster Trucks" Franchise

The entertainment industry news website Deadline Hollywood is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon news that Rob Moore, the Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures, mentioned at the 5th annual CinemaCon convention that Paramount and Nickelodeon are expecting Paramount Animation's upcoming movie "Monster Trucks" to launch a major franchise for Paramount and Nickelodeon! Although currently unconfirmed, a "Monster Trucks" franchise could see Paramount and Nickelodeon partnering to produce a sequel to the film and/or a television series based on the movie.

Nickelodeon recently teamed up with Paramount Television to produce a brand-new live-action musical-comedy television series based on Paramount Pictures' hit movie "School of Rock", which is due to premiere on Nickelodeon USA later this year.

"Monster Trucks" is a brand-new live-action/computer-animated action film that stars Jane Levy, Lucas Till, Amy Ryan, Rob Lowe, Danny Glover, Barry Pepper and Holt McCallany. Produced by Paramount Animation and Disruption Entertainment, the movie is directed by Chris Wedge and written by Jonathan Aibel, Glenn Berger, and Derek Connolly. The film is scheduled to be released by Paramount Pictures on Friday 25th December 2015.
