Lily Collins Shares Throwback Photo of When Reported on Barack Obama’s Inauguration for Nickelodeon in 2008

Today (Jan. 20) was an very important day in the United States of America, with Joseph R. Biden officially becoming the county's 46th president. To mark the occasion, actor Lily Collins today shared a special candid throwback photo on Instagram from when she covered Barack Obama’s inauguration for Nickelodeon in 2008!

Lily captioned the photo: "Happy Inauguration Day!

This is me at @barackobama’s inauguration in 2008 when I was reporting on the big day for Nickelodeon. It was freezing (hence being bundled up in emergency blankets!), but nothing was going to stop me from embracing such a monumental moment. Even at 18, I really felt the weight of that day - what it meant for us as a country and I was so excited to be there. Today is no different. I am beyond thrilled to see a new administration — President @joebiden and Vice President @kamalaharris — take office and start paving the way towards a brighter future. Hopeful that this is the beginning of some very good and necessary change..."

Lily previously posted a throwback photo in September 2020 from when she was working on Nickelodeon's Kids Pick the President for the 2008 U.S. election to celebrate National Voter Registration Day.
