Nickelodeon Announces Kids' Choice Awards Mexico 2018 Winners | #KCAMexico

Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) has announced the winners of Kids' Choice Awards México 2018!


NickHeads in Mexico cast OVER 100 MILLION VOTES for their favourites from the worlds of television, movies, music, sports, celebrities and more at KCAMexico.com, via the Nick Play app and on Twitter using the hashtag #KCAMEXICO.

Nickelodeon revealed the winners of Nickelodeon's coveted orange blimps at a star and slime-studded Orange Carpet ceremony hosted by YouTube phenomenon Los Polinesios at Auditorio Nacional de la Ciudad de México on Saturday 18th August 2018.

During the night, the audience were treated to many exclusive performances from many Latin and international artists, including: renowned international artist and multi-Latin Grammy Award winner Luis Fonsi; multi-Latin Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Prince Royce; hit Mexican-American pop duo Ha*Ash; Nickelodeon star JoJo Siwa; and the cast of Nickelodeon's hit musical series Kally's MashUp. Additionally, pop phenomenon CD9, will also be taking the stage of KCA México with Danna Paola and Spanish star Ana Mena to perform a unique version of the catchy song "Prohibido". The night also saw many celebrities being awarded Nickelodeon's highest honour - a Nickelodeon sliming - including Sofía Reyes.

Nickelodeon Latin America to Honor Timbiriche with Leyenda Award at Kids' Choice Awards México 2018 [Updated]

Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) has announced the exciting news that Mexican pop group Timbiriche will be honored with the Leyenda (Legend) award at Kids' Choice Awards México 2018!

Timbiriche originally started as a children's musical group in 1982, and has successfully evolve into adulthood. The group is considered one of the most iconic Latin Pop acts of the 1980s and the early 1990s, and are just as popular with fans young and old today.

Hosted by Los Polinesios, Kids' Choice Awards México 2018 will feature unique performances from many Latin and international artists, including: renowned international artist and multi-Latin Grammy Award winner Luis Fonsi; multi-Latin Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Prince Royce; hit Mexican-American pop duo Ha*Ash; Nickelodeon star JoJo Siwa; and the cast of Nickelodeon's hit musical series Kally's MashUp. Additionally, pop phenomenon CD9, will also be taking the stage of KCA México with Danna Paola and Spanish star Ana Mena to perform a unique version of the catchy song "Prohibido", and popular Latin stars Sebastián Villalobos, Maite Perroni, Giselle Kuri, Jorge Blanco, Kevin Rogers, Xime Ponch and Eddy and Bryan de SKabeche will be among the stars presenting the coveted Orange Blimp awards.

Nickelodeon's ninth annual Kids' Choice Awards México will also honor Luis Fonsi with the Premio Pro-Social, which recognises the important philanthropic work of the Puerto Rican.

Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards México 2018 will take place at Auditorio Nacional de la Ciudad de México on Saturday 18th August 2018, and will air on Nickelodeon Latinoamérica on Tuesday 21st August 2018 at 20:00.

TIMBIRICHE RECIBIRÁ PREMIO LEYENDA EN LOS KIDS’ CHOICE AWARDS

México.- Por su amplia trayectoria artística y legado musical en la cultura pop, el grupo mexicano Timbiriche será reconocido como Leyenda este 18 de agosto, durante la entrega de los Premios Kids’ Choice Awards México 2018.

“Estamos muy emocionados de recibir este premio, porque son los niños y adolescentes quienes nos lo otorgan. Son 36 años de esfuerzo y trabajo, de estar cantándole al público mexicano, por lo que ahora tener esta conexión con los chavos nos hace sentir muy bien. Gracias a los Kids’ Choice Awards y a Nickelodeon”, comentó el cantante Diego Schoening.

En lo que va del "tour" “Juntos”, que marca el tercer reencuentro musical de Timbiriche, sus contemporáneos, a los que llaman la “Generación Timbiriche”, han abarrotado sus conciertos en el Auditorio Nacional y otros foros del país, así como Estados Unidos, pero también han asistido muchos niños.

“En los primeros ‘shows’ veíamos a la gente mayor, pero de pronto empezó una oleada de chavos de entre 9 y 11 años, lo cual llamó nuestra atención. La conexión viene de sus papás, ellos ponían nuestra música a sus hijos y, por fortuna, hoy les sigue gustando. Nos llena de orgullo y sentimos cariño por todo eso”.

Schoening recordó que en el pasado, cuando recibían premios, los tomaban como un juego, pero hoy los valoran de una manera importante.

“Éramos unos niños cuando empezamos, yo tenía 11 años y me parece que Alix tenía como 9, siempre fui el mayor del grupo. Fue una época en que todo lo tomábamos como un juego, como algo que nos gustaba y que amábamos hacer. No nos dábamos cuenta si era negocio o no, pero hoy nos da mucho orgullo que nos reconozcan, nos sentimos como chavitos”, resaltó.

El premio “Leyenda” es otorgado por los niños y preadolescentes que disfrutan la programación del canal Nickelodeon Latinoamérica. En anteriores ediciones de los Kids' Choice Awards México se lo entregaron a Xavier López "Chabelo", al exfutbolista Hugo Sánchez y a Silvia Roche, creadora de "Burbujas".

"Con la velocidad que hay en la información, con internet y que todo ya es muchísimo más abierto y casi nada oculto, se agradece que se fijen en nosotros. Quizá porque mostramos esa parte positiva, de buenos mensajes y de familia, de que los entiendes (a los niños) y estás con ellos", concluyó Schoening.

"Timbiriche es un fenómeno musical que ha trascendido por décadas e impactado la vida de millones de mexicanos de todas las edades, por lo que este año será homenajeado por los chicos con el premio 'Leyenda'", subrayó Eduardo Lebrija, director general y vicepresidente senior de Viacom México, Colombia, Centroamérica y el Caribe.

Para el día de la premiación, no se contempla la participación musical de Timbiriche.

Los cantantes Luis Fonsi, Prince Royce, Danna Paola, Ana Mena y el grupo CD9 son algunos de los intérpretes que cantarán en vivo durante la ceremonia de premiación de los Kids' Choice Awards México 2018.

Sebastián Villalobos, Maite Perroni, Giselle Kuri, Jorge Blanco, Kevin Rogers, Xime Ponch y Eddy y Bryan de SKabeche son algunos de los famosos que entregarán distinciones.

Pone Fonsi freno a los excesos


Ciudad de México— Cuando un artista conquista el mundo como lo hizo Luis Fonsi con "Despacito" es cuando más debe rodearse de gente confiable, para evitar un camino lleno de excesos.

Sin embargo, al boricua no le preocupan las tentaciones que pudiera haber en esta carrera, pues tiene clara su meta.

"Para mí no es difícil decirle que no a las tentaciones. Lo que haga o no haga responde a la manera en que me criaron, no porque sea un artista. Habla del tipo de persona que soy y con lo que me siento cómodo. Podría ser un guitarrista, un maquillista o un periodista y actuaría siempre de la misma forma correcta.

"Obviamente, al ser una figura pública tienes otro tipo de responsabilidades, pero gracias a Dios y a que tengo a mi padre y a mi madre siempre he mantenido mis prioridades y valores muy claros. Esa fue una base muy importante para mí, y por eso, cuando transito en esta carrera, ya no existe miedo por caer en cosas negativas", dijo Fonsi anoche, en exclusiva.

Al cantante, de 40 años, le interesa compartir su visión con las nuevas generaciones y trabaja cada día para ser un ejemplo a seguir. Por eso hoy recibirá, en los Kids' Choice Awards México 2018, el Premio Pro-Social por su compromiso filantrópico y su labor para inspirar a la juventud.

"Es algo a lo que siempre le he prestado mucha atención a lo largo de estos 20 años de carrera: llevar siempre una imagen positiva a la juventud, que es un público sumamente importante para mí".

También predica con el ejemplo entre sus colegas, y si bien nunca pudo hablar al respecto con su amiga Demi Lovato, con quien grabó "Échame la Culpa", la ve como una mujer muy fuerte y que saldrá airosa de su rehabilitación luego de haber sufrido una sobredosis.

"Nunca hablamos de ese tipo de temas incómodos, por eso me quedé sorprendido con la noticia. Los ratos que compartimos fueron sumamente inolvidables. Ella es una cantante y una artista inigualable, una de las personas más dulces y talentosas con las que he trabajado.

"No he hablado directamente con ella, pero sí he estado en completa comunicación con su equipo. La considero mi amiga y sé que va a salir adelante. Tengo fe y seguridad en que sabrá luchar contra esta situación".

El puertorriqueño ensayó por la tarde, en el Auditorio Nacional, su show para la ceremonia de Nickelodeon al lado de una veintena de bailarines, con una escenografía muy veraniega, de enormes gajos de limón y naranja.

A lo largo de una hora repasó su último éxito, "Calypso", del que justo ayer lanzó un remix con Karol G.

"Al final del día lo que quiero con mi música es crear un mensaje positivo, crear unión y sembrar alegría en la gente, así sea con una canción muy bailable, como 'Calypso', o temas románticos y cortavenas".

Con la conducción de Los Polinesios, la gala de premios se grabará hoy en el Auditorio y el canal juvenil la transmitirá el martes 21 de agosto, a las 20:00 horas.

"Estamos muy emocionados de recibir por primera vez en los KCA México a Luis Fonsi, una de las estrellas más queridas por los niños y más grandes en la escena global de la música", compartió Eduardo Lebrija, SVP y director general de Viacom México.

Nickelodeon USA to Premiere 'Power Rangers' 25th Anniversary Special on Tuesday, August 28 | First Look [Updated]

Power Rangers 25th Anniversary: First Look at the Rangers Returning for Super Ninja Steel Reunion Episode

Saban's Power Rangers franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and longtime fans already know what that means: An morphinominal team-up episode bringing together Rangers past and present, as the Super Ninja Steel Rangers join forces with their legendary predecessors to save the world!


IGN has revealed three of the returning Rangers - and the premiere date for the anniversary episode - to give you time to prepare yourself for the wave of nostalgia that's about to hit you.

As some fans have speculated, Nickelodeon USA will air the anniversary team-up at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Tuesday, August 28, the date that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers first premiered on the Fox Kids Network.

Update (8/7): The Power Rangers 25th anniversary reunion special will be titled "Dimensions in Danger"! Below is the official synopsis for the episode:

In a very special 25th Anniversary episode, the Super Ninja Steel Rangers team up with Legendary Rangers in an epic battle to save the world.

Three of the Rangers that fans can look forward to seeing during the episode are Tommy Oliver (Jason David Frank), who served as the original Green and White Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, the Red Zeo and Turbo Ranger, and the Black Dino Ranger; Kat Hillard (Catherine Sutherland), the second Pink Mighty Morphin Ranger and the Pink Zeo and Turbo Ranger; and Wes Collins (Jason Faunt), the Red Time Force Ranger. More iconic legacy Rangers from past seasons will be announced in the coming weeks.

It is interesting to note exactly what Power Ranger forms Frank and Sutherland are morphing into for the special. Frank, who has reprised his Green Ranger several times (most recently in the 2014 special for Power Rangers Super Megaforce), will once again become the Green Ranger instead of his White Ranger, his Red Zeo Ranger (from Power Rangers Zeo), his Red Turbo Ranger, or his Black DinoThunder Ranger (from Power Rangers DinoThunder).

Sutherland’s Kat is also interesting, given that Kat has been three different Pink Rangers: Mighty Morphin, Zeo, and Turbo. However, the only powers that survived their respective season finales was Zeo; both Mighty Morphin and Turbo were destroyed through various means. How Kat will transform into the Pink Turbo Ranger currently remains a mystery.

The photo also shows Tommy holding his traditional Morpher and Kat holding her Turbo Morpher. Collins will also have his Chrono Morpher.

Update (8/1): The 25th Anniversary episode of Power Rangers has a lot to live up to, but the cast wants you to know that it will be much better than the previous special, "Legendary Battle".

"Legendary Battle" was the 20th Anniversary celebration episode, which took place during Super Megaforce, and despite having a massive amount of Rangers in it, some fans found it underwhelming. ComicBook.com had the chance to chat with Jason David Frank, Catherine Sutherland, and Jason Faunt, who will be reprising their roles in the upcoming 25th Anniversary episode. From their comments, it looks like the episode is shaping up to be pretty great.

"Power Rangers is up to the standards of where it needed to be," Frank said. "When I first heard about it (the episode), I was thinking, 'Man, I hope it's gonna be better than Super Megaforce.' Because I was so excited about that reunion episode and we had some glitches in there. They worked with me on coloring the helmet back to the original way it was supposed to be. When we shot Megaforce, it had the gray stripe in the helmet and gray Morpher, and I was like, "Ah, guys, I think, we need to make it the legit way." Because when Disney got it, somehow it put a stripe in the helmet, and the Morpher was silver, so they actually fixed that in post."

Frank holds this episode in some pretty high company, referencing an all-time classic.

"The episode by far is probably one of my favorite episodes, probably out of the whole franchise, I would imagine," Frank said. "Evil Green was really great, but I think coming back and reuniting with everyone has gotta be a good feeling for me and fans; here we are 25 years later and we're stronger than we were before. Like that song, Stronger than Before. ... I just realized that."

While he wouldn't provide exact details, Faunt did tease some big things from the episode when we asked if it would be bigger than the 20th Anniversary episode. "Yes, It's very safe to say," Faunt said.

"It was great," Faunt said. "This Power Rangers family is definitely a fraternity. And once they selected the people that were coming back, I'm very close with a lot of them. And it's just such a great time. And we were filming out in New Zealand for like two and a half weeks. Filming, hanging out, playing pranks, having a good time, hiking and just doing a lot of fun stuff. So it's just amazing. We're all so close that it's just kind of like going back to a high school reunion with a lot of close friends that you really enjoyed being around. So we had a blast. We had a blast out there."

For Sutherland, it was just great to meet the new cast, who look at them as legendary Rangers.

"It's really cute when we meet the newer ones because obviously they could be my children," Sutherland said. "They're so young. Immediately when we meet each other, it's just an immediate rapport we have. You're invited into the family and it's really a special thing. We are like one big family. It's wonderful. They were so excited to meet us and we were so excited to meet them and it was really fun. Really, just exciting. Exciting for them to have these legendary rangers in their eyes they're legendary. And we're excited to be meeting these new stars and seeing their careers unfold, so it was fun."

The 25th Anniversary special airs in primetime on Nickelodeon USA August 28th at 8 pm. ET/PT!

Using footage from the 2012 Super Sentai series Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters—initially skipped over by Power Rangers in favor of turning Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger into Power Rangers Dino ChargeBeast Morphers is set in a near future where scientists have harnessed the power of the Morphing Grid (the energy field that transforms Power Rangers into their mighty heroic selves) itself to create powerful new technology.

This is all well and good until a corrupted computer virus named Evox gains sentience and threatens to destroy the Earth. Although the trailer doesn’t show off too much of just what Beast Morphers will bring to the table, outside of its use of the Go-Busters footage that primarily makes up this early look, given the Sentai show’s intriguing departures from the typical franchise formula, it’ll be interesting to see just how different a show its Power Rangers counterpart ends up being, too.

Beast Morphers heads to Nickelodeon USA in 2019!

In addition to the trailer, the cast of Power Rangers Beast Morphers has also been announced!


The new cast was introduced at Power Morphicon 6, at the conclusion of Hasbro’s Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel panel. Meet the official cast below, coming to Nickelodeon in 2019!

The identities of the Gold and Silver Rangers, who will premiere later in the season, were not revealed.


Meet the Beast Bots!


For the first time ever, each of the Power Rangers will have their own sidekick in Power Rangers Beast Morphers, and the names for those characters have been revealed. The Beast Bots are the lovable sidekicks that will aid the Rangers in the quest to defeat Earth’s evildoers.

- The Red Ranger’s Beast Bot will be a Cheetah named Cruise.
- The Blue Ranger’s Beast Bot will be a Gorilla named Smash.
- The Yellow Ranger’s Beast Bot will be a Jackrabbit named Jax.

The new names were revealed publicly by a Calendars.com listing for an upcoming Power Rangers Beast Morphers calendar.

'Double Dare Live' to Visit Rosemont Theatre in Illinois in November 2018

Rosemont, IL - Nickelodeon's Double Dare Live will make Rosemont Theatre a stop on its nationwide tour in November 2018!


Tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 24, for the show inspired by Nickelodeon's iconic television game show Double Dare. OG host Marc Summers and his trusty sidekick Robin Russo will be with the show Nov. 10 at the Rosemont Theatre.

"Hosting the Double Dare Live tour couldn't be any more exciting, and I look forward to bringing the fun and messiness of Double Dare to audiences across the country," Summers said in a statement. "Doing the show again with my sidekick Robin will fulfill childhood dreams of the generation that grew up with us and introduce this classic show to the next generation."

Double Dare Live will feature two teams with selected audience members competing to win prizes by answering difficult trivia questions. The participants also will need to complete messy physical challenges and face an obstacle course.

Double Dare premiered on Oct. 6, 1986, on Nickelodeon, and ran from 1986-1993, making it the network’s longest running game show. Shortly after its debut, Double Dare became one of the most popular original daily programs on cable television. The series went into syndication in 1988, and was later revamped as Super Sloppy Double Dare in 1989. The show also ran on broadcast television as Family Double Dare in 1988, followed by new versions on Nick, including Double Dare 2000. Nickelodeon's brand-new Double Dare series, hosted by Liza Koshy and featuring Marc Summers giving color commentary, returns with brand-new episodes this Fall on Nickelodeon!

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Americas recently held an event in Buenos Aires to celebrate the launch of Nickelodeon Consumer Products Argentina, the division of Viacom that oversees all merchandising and retail operations for Nickelodeon in the country, following it's launch in January 2018. The event, which introduced the team who are responsible for building Nickelodeon's licensing business in Argentina was well attended by strong business partners, managers, trade press and members of Viacom International Media Networks' Consumer Products teams from all around the world.


The team outlined the key Nickelodeon properties that Nickelodeon Consumer Products Argentina will be focusing on throughout 2019 and 2020, in which they'll develop incredible product lines and innovative promotional campaigns that will see popular Nickelodeon characters leap from the TV screens and into the homes of viewers, allowing fans across multiple generations to connect with their favourite Nickelodeon shows and characters. Among the properties and campaigns that Nickelodeon Consumer Products Argentina will be focusing on throughout 2019 and 2020 are: El Ascenso de las Tortugas Ninja (Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Nickelodeon's brand-new 2D-animated TMNT series which reimagines the iconic characters in a fresh new way; Sunny Day; Top Wing; PAW Patrol; Nella, Una Princesa Valiente (Nella the Princess Knight); and the 20th anniversary of Bob Esponja (SpongeBob SquarePants).
