Category-creating digital service for public libraries adds 100+ new feature films

HOLLAND, OH. (November 1, 2017) – hoopla digital (hoopladigital.com), the category-creating mobile and online service for public libraries, today announced a new licensing agreement with Paramount Pictures to add more than 100 movies from the studio’s renowned library to hoopla’s service. Through the agreement, patrons of participating public libraries will have access to fan-favorite hits via their smartphones, tablets and computers.

Among the diverse array of films to be made available under the agreement are Shutter Island with Leonardo DiCaprio, The Soloist with Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx, and the hilarious comedy School of Rock, starring Jack Black. In addition, family-friendly movies such as The Nutty Professor, starring Eddie Murhpy, and The Wild Thornberrys Movie will further add to hoopla digital’s catalog of more than 600,000 movies, TV shows, music albums, eBooks, audiobooks and comics.

“Through this new deal with Paramount, hoopla digital is adding a roster of iconic movies to the dynamic experience we offer to our library partners and their patrons. Content on hoopla, including this exciting lineup of films, can be enjoyed across multiple screens, from laptops to tablets and TVs– all with a library card,” said Jeff Jankowski, founder and owner of hoopla digital.
