Power Rangers Live Tour Dates Announced **2018 Tour Postponed**

IMPORTANT UPDATE (11/21): Unfortunately, Power Rangers Live has had to be postponed until 2019. Please visit www.powerrangerslive.com for the latest information.

It’s Morphin Time! Power Rangers, the global pop culture phenomenon, is celebrating 25 morphinomenal years and is heading to a city near you with the awesome martial arts spectacular, Power Rangers Live! Witness the epic, stunt-filled, live event for the whole family, Power Rangers Live as five ordinary teens morph into the Power Rangers to help save your town and the world from an alien threat and destruction!

Next year marks the 25th anniversary of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, the action adventure television series that was imported from Japan, adapted for American audiences, and has since expanded into 19 different iterations of the super powered action heroes.

In celebration of one of the longest-running children’s television shows, Red Light Management is producing an action-packed live show stopping in 50 North American cities. Beginning Saturday 17th February 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona at Comerica Theatre, six teens will morph into Power Rangers to help save cities from alien threats live on stage!

Power Rangers Live is a new interactive, mixed media stage production intended for the whole family, bringing all the action-packed stunts and epic martial arts from one of the longest running programs in TV history to a stage in front of your eyes. Find out when and where you can see Power Rangers Live below.

Power Rangers Live will take inspiration from the latest iteration of the series, Power Rangers Ninja Steel, following six ordinary teenagers who morph into the titular heroes and save the world from some kind of alien threat.

Power Rangers Live will arrive in towns across North America, including Los Angeles, Toronto, Las Vegas, and Atlanta to save each city. The show will feature high-energy martial arts, jaw-dropping stunts and state-of-the-art video and technology to entertain the entire family. The attraction will be the first live experience in over two decades.

“We have an incredible visual spectacular coming together and we’re working with an incredible creative director Amy Tinkham who has worked on tons of amazing productions,” Red Light Management Executive Producer Jonathan Shank told Amplify.

Tinkham has worked on Britney Spears: Live From Vegas and Dixie Chicks: Top of the World Tour.

Shank added, “I think this show is going to stand out from other productions that are in the market.”

In addition to celebrating 25 years on the air, Power Rangers Live follows the success of the brand’s movie out earlier this year which grossed $142 million worldwide for Lionsgate. The film featured Elizabeth Banks as the villain and, for the first time, an LGBT character that was heralded for inclusivity.

“The film has brought the show and the brand back into the pop culture forefront, but I also think that it is driven by Nickelodeon’s commitment to the Power Rangers over the past few years,” Shank said. “They have been important in building the kid audience between the ages of five and 12 years-old. It’s going to be a good combination of kids that are fans of Ninja Steel and the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fans, the legacy Power Ranger fans.”

The latest incarnation of Power Rangers is Power Rangers Ninja Steel which runs on Nickelodeon USA. Nickelodeon started airing Power Rangers in 2011 after creator Haim Saban bought back the franchise from Disney for $43 million in 2010. Power Rangers currently airs in 150 markets around the world and is translated into numerous languages.

“There’s really a good message within Power Rangers of diversity and inclusion and also discipline through the martial arts themes. Those are values that are always going to be highly regarded in our society, certainly amongst family audiences,” Shank said. “Beyond that, there is a certain magic to the Power Rangers that allows them to cut through most of the other things out there and allows them to continue to be popular for more than two decades.”

CID Entertainment will be handling VIP packages for the tour including meet and greets with the Rangers. Citi is the official card of Saban’s Power Rangers Live. Beginning Tuesday 10th October 2017 at 12pm (local time), Citi card members will have access to a special pre-sale, as well as VIP packages through Citi’s Private Pass Program. The public on sale date will be Friday 13th October 2017 at 10:00 a.m. (local time). Head to www.powerrangerslive.com for more information. Go! Go! Power Rangers!

One of the exclusive VIP packages is the Ranger Pass, which features exclusive access to the Ranger Base after the show, Meet & Greet photo opportunity with the Power Rangers, an exclusive party gift, and much more.
