Viacom Launches Nick Jr. HD Latinoamérica On Colombian Pay-TV Platform Claro

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) The Americas has launched Nick Jr. HD on the Colombian pay-TV platform Claro.

Following an agreement that took other Viacom linear channels to the platform last year, the high definition (HD) feed has been available to Claro subscribers since last week.

Through the move, the América Móvil platform will offer one of the most extensive Viacom catalogues in Latin America, as it already airs Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and Paramount, and enables access to the Viacom Play Plex suite of mobile and second-screen apps - Nickelodeon Play, MTV Play and Comedy Central Play.

“We are very happy to announce the launch of Nick Jr HD on Claro,” said Rita Herring, SVP, content distribution, Viacom International Media Networks. “Nick Jr offers a comprehensive show portfolio in a safe place for preschoolers. With this launch, we complete our HD channel offering on Claro.”

Where every day's an adventure, Nick Jr. is Nickelodeon's a top-performing commercial preschool entertainment brand, and is the home of beloved shows PAW Patrol, Nella, Una Princesa Valiente, Dora the Explorer, Dora y Sus Amigos, Digby Dragon, Dora la exploradora, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Shimmer and Shine, Rusty Rivets, Fresh Beat Band of Spies and Little Charmers. Fans can visit the official Nick Jr. Latinoamérica website to learn more about their favorite Nick Jr. shows, play games, watch videos and more.
