Lifelike Touring Appoints Norton & Co PR For PAW Patrol Live! "Race To The Rescue" UK Tour

Lifelike Touring has appointed Norton & Co PR to manage the UK PR around the forthcoming PAW Patrol Live! "Race To The Rescue" tour.

The appointment comes hot on the heels of PR agency’s hugely successful LEGO Store London launch campaign, Crayola Bus Tour and Rubiks’ UK Championships in 2016.

PAW Patrol is coming to venues across the UK in PAW Patrol Live! "Race to the Rescue". September 2017 dates in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin have been announced with additional performances in England and Wales set to be confirmed over the next few weeks.

In its capacity as the UK Press Office for Warner Bros Consumer Products, Norton has worked in partnership with Lifelike Touring on WBCP PR to support the Scooby Live! UK shows in 2016 so has an existing understanding of the company and its aims for the PAW Patrol Live! events in the UK.

PAW Patrol continues to enjoy a huge fan base here in the UK and across the world” Emma Arthur, director at Norton & Co commented. “Bringing such a popular license to life via a live event format is a major initiative which Lifelike Touring have a wealth of experience in being able to deliver to a wide audience. We are thrilled to be able to partner with them on such a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the most high profile pre-school brands of the past few years.”

Produced by Nickelodeon, VStar Entertainment Group and Life Like Touring, PAW Patrol Live! "Race to the Rescue" brings everybody's favorite pups to the stage for an action-packed, high-energy, musical adventure. When Mayor Goodway goes missing during the day of The Great Adventure Bay Race, Ryder, Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Rubble, Zuma, Skye and Everest come to the rescue! The 80-minute production, which includes two acts and an intermission, shows that "no job is too big, no pup is too small," and shares lessons for all ages about citizenship, social skills and problem-solving as the characters each use their unique skills and teamwork.

The performance features up-tempo music and dance, and a brand new cleverly written original script that is a good introduction to live theater for kids. Classic theatrical scenery along with a high-tech video wall visually transports families to an authentic PAW Patrol environment, including locations from the TV series, like Adventure Bay, The Lookout, Seal Island, Farmer Yumi's farm and Jake's Mountain. Special interactive video allows the audience to participate via interviews, solve clues and puzzles with the Pups, follow Mayor Goodway and much more.

PAW Patrol Live! "Race to the Rescue", the first touring live show starring Ryder and the team of pups, features innovative costuming. Using Bunraku, puppetry elements are built into costumes worn by performers to create life-size pups that wag their tails, blink their eyes, move their mouths and engage the audience throughout their adventure. The costume design brings a fun, realistic parallel between the animated series and the live show. Each pup's all-important Pup Pack and vehicle also makes an appearance during the show.

PAW Patrol airs on Nickelodeon UK & Ireland's top-performing preschool channels, Nick Jr. and Nick Jr. Too, and on Channel 5′s Milkshake! programming strand, and is one of Nickelodeon's top preschool properties.

Paw Patrol is the UK’s top pre-school property and we know that families have been eagerly awaiting a live show,” said Alison Bakunowich, general manager, Nickelodeon UK & Ireland. “With Race to the Rescue, we are growing the potential of the property; taking it beyond the screen and giving audiences an opportunity to experience and interact with Paw Patrol in a way that hasn’t been available before.”

“Using Bunraku, puppetry elements are built into costumes worn by real actors to create a wonderful combination of life-sized pups and to make a stronger connection with the audience. The Paw Patrol cast sings and dances, which brings a fun, realistic parallel between the animated series and the live show,” said Jim Waters, producer, VStar Entertainment Group.
