Nickelodeon Partners With Food Licencees Across EMEA And Asia For Branded Food And Drink Products | BLE 2016

Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) has announced a slate of licensing deals to develop Nickelodeon branded food and drink products, targeting kids across Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia!

NVCP has confirmed a multi-territory deal with Dairy4Fun for a branded range of Nickelodeon dairy-based snacks and deserts. Rich in calcium, protein and vitamin D, the brightly packaged range of yogurts, milk-snacks and desserts will feature characters from hit Nickelodeon property's, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol and Blaze and the Monster Machines. The products will launch at high-street supermarkets across Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Spain.

Also on sale across the UK, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia, NVCP and Vitapress have launched the first range of Paw Patrol fizzy juice drinks. Available in apple and grape, the party 'must have' is confirmed to launch in Morrisons in the UK.

Meanwhile in Poland, a SpongeBob SquarePants range of Grapcio fruit smoothies is available now, through a partnership with Ustronianka. The deal incorporates three choices of fruity flavours: banana, Kiwi and apple; banana, apple and carrot; and banana, carrot, apple and strawberry.

Following the successful launch of a Nickelodeon range of SpongeBob SquarePants-branded fresh produce in South Africa earlier this year - selling more than 6 million units of pears, bananas and oranges to date - NVCP has expanded its partnership with IDEAFRUIT to distribute a SpongeBob range of apples across Malaysia and Singapore.

The new range of SpongeBob apples complements the existing range of fresh produce in domestic Africa (South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Mauritius, Namibia, Nigeria, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.)

NVCP has also confirmed a deal with Roter in the region, for a range of chewable tablets, rich in Vitamin D to help kids fight coughs and colds. Featuring evergreen adventurer Dora the Explorer, the tasty treats are on sale now across a most major drugstores and supermarkets.

Finally - in Benelux - appealing to kids with a sweeter tooth, NVCP has confirmed a deal with Delicia for a fun-packed assortment of chocolate sprinkles, featuring Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Paw Patrol.

The three ranges - Dora Delicia, TMNT Delicia and PAW Patrol Delicia – are available in select supermarkets now across Belgium and the Netherlands.

Mark Kingston, General Manager (GM) & Senior Vice President (SVP) Consumer Products EMEA & International Promotions & CPG, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) Europe, Middle East & Africa commented: "Nickelodeon is committed to encouraging kids to eat right and make healthy food choices. With the help of SpongeBob, Dora, the Turtles and Paw Patrol we can help make less favourable choices, including fresh fruit and vegetables, juice drinks and chewable vitamin C tablets, more kid-friendly and fun!"
