Marianne James Appointed VP Commercial Partnerships, Consumer Products and Experiences for Nickelodeon UK & Ireland

MARIANNE JAMES APPOINTED VP COMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIPS, CONSUMER PRODUCTS AND EXPERIENCES

FOR NICKELODEON UK & IRELAND


London, 6th October, 2016 — Nickelodeon UK & Ireland has appointed Marianne James, VP Commercial Partnerships, Consumer Products and Experiences for Nickelodeon UK & Ireland.


In a new role for the entertainment company, James is responsible for the commercialisation of Nickelodeon assets and properties within the UK and Irish markets. Covering consumer products, brand and commercial partnerships, events and sponsorships, James’ new position sees her manage the Nickelodeon relationship with Sky Media and oversee the work of Nickelodeon’s Commercial Creative Unit. James reports to Ron Johnson, EVP International CP, Viacom International Media Networks and Alison Bakunowich, General Manager, Nickelodeon UK & Ireland.

“Marianne has done a fantastic job within her consumer products and retail role, spearheading innovative strategies and partnerships,” said Ron Johnson, EVP International CP. “With this new role, Marianne will be key in making our properties work hard for us and our partners by aligning sponsorship and product opportunities so that we provide a seamless, effective service across all commercial opportunities.”

Capitalising on the phenomenal popularity of new properties such as PAW Patrol, Blaze and the Monster Machines as well as evergreen favourites Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and SpongeBob SquarePants, James’ role will build upon the success of Nickelodeon properties across consumer products into areas such as non-ticketed events, sports and leisure.

With James’ new role solely focused on Nickelodeon UK & Ireland, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products has appointed Felix Ruoff to the role of Vice President, Sales & Marketing EMEA & MENA CP. Ruoff previously worked at The Walt Disney Company, first leading the German Sales team, then moving to France to develop Disney’s CP business across Emerging Markets, and settling in Dubai as the company’s GM Retail & Trade across the MENA region. Ruoff recently worked on a consultancy basis for VIMN and was instrumental in helping VIMN secure their first-ever presence at the Modesh World event in Dubai. Ruoff will report to Mark Kingston, GM & Senior Vice President, Consumer Products, EMEA , for Retail Sales and Marketing and Stefano Araldi, Vice President, Consumer Products, South, Western Europe, Middle East & Africa (SWEMEA) Cluster, for MENA responsibilities.
