Nickelodeon Consumer Products Appoints Dan Frugtniet As New VP For International

Nickelodeon has appointed Dan Frugtniet as its new Vice President (VP) of Licensing & Consumer Products Business Development for Nickelodeon International. He is moving over from his previous post at Nick's parent company Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) as VP of Emerging Markets and Business Development.

In his new role, Frugtniet is charged with leading the expansion of Nick's international consumer product business and further developing the growth of its business in Russia, CIS, India, South Africa, Israel and CEE. He'll report directly to Mark Kingston, General Manager (GM) and Senior Vice President (SVP) of Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) EMEA.

Frugtniet joined VIMN in 2010. Prior to that he worked for LazyTown Entertainment as director of brand and licensing, and was also head of licensing and home entertainment (CEE) at Disney from 2006 to 2009.

He starts the new job just as the summer of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is getting underway for Nickelodeon Consumer Products in Europe through a recently inked partnership with Toys "R" Us.
