Pete Wentz To Guest Star In A Episode Of Nickelodeon's Brand-New Show "School of Rock"

Nickelodeon has announced the exciting news in a post on their official Tumblr blog that musician Pete Wentz from rock band Fall Out Boy will be a guest star in a episode of Nickelodeon Productions and Paramount Television's upcoming brand-new live-action, musical-comedy series "School of Rock"!

Pete, who filmed his role a few weeks ago, will be playing Colton, a former bandmate of Dewey's who is now Dewey's biggest rival in the upcoming Battle of the Bands.

To celebrate, Nickelodeon shared a exclusive photo featuring Pete taking a behind-the-scenes selfie with "School of Rock" star Tony Cavalero, who plays Dewey in Nick's brand-new show, in between filming! The photo also features a glimpse of Tony's star trailer and a first-look at the "School of Rock" logo which Nickelodeon and Paramount may use for their all-new show!:

"School of Rock" is a brand-new live-action series which follows a group of unconventional prep schoolers who are taught the joy of rock 'n' roll by Dewey Finn (Tony Cavalero, "Splitting Adam"), a down-on-his-luck rocker who poses as a substitute teacher at their school. The show is based on the 2003 hit movie of the same name from Paramount Pictures. Nickelodeon USA is planning to debut the show between July and September 2015!

"School of Rock" is written by Jim and Steve Armogida ("Crash & Bernstein", "My Family"), who will also serve as executive producers and show runners. The movie's director Richard Linklater and producer Scott Rudin will executive produce the television series.

Nickelodeon ordered 13 episodes of "School of Rock" in August 2014.

Paramount's original "School of Rock" movie starred Nickelodeon star Miranda Cosgrove ("Drake & Josh", "iCarly") in one of her first acting roles, in which she portrayed the character Summer Hathaway.
