Activision Announces "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze" Video Game

Activision announced the Booyakasha TMNT news today, Thursday 4th September 2014, that Nickelodeon's justice-sworn, pizza-fuelled, half-shelled heroes in green are back in action in Activision's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze", a brand-new TMNT video game being developed by Wayforward Technologies ("Silent Hill: Book of Memories", "DuckTales Remastered") that will be released on PlayStation 3 (PS3), Xbox 360 and Nintendo 3DS during Autumn/Fall 2014!


The upcoming side-scrolling TMNT game is designed to span the gap between seasons 2 and 3 of the TMNT animated show currently airing on Nickelodeon.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze" quickly heats up as Shredder, Tiger Claw and a new army of mutants threaten the streets of New York, forcing Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo to take action into their own hands. The game's distinguishing feature will be its vast, interconnected, non-linear game world, which rewards exploration and creative thinking. Powers, upgrades and equipment scattered across New York and Dimension X will open up new environments to traverse, secrets to discover and bosses to battle. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo will all be playable and can be swapped between freely by the player as the adventure goes on.


all four Turtles can be swapped between freely throughout the adventure, and each has his own unique rhythm, with specialized stats, strengths and skills. Combat is fast-paced, emphasizing the gang’s martial arts prowess through attack and item combos, counters and finishers, but also provides tools for stealth-based approaches to avoid or tackle enemies. Each Turtle brother will have unique strengths and stats.


The combat in "TMNT: Danger of the Ooze" will be fast-paced, and will feature martial arts-style attacks with combos, counters, and finishers. But if that's not your style, the game also lets you perform stealth-based attacks.
