Nickelodeon USA Is Week's Top Cable Network With Kids And Total Viewers, Net Posts Year-On-Year Gains With Kids

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced, in the following press release, from TVbytheNumbers, that Nick USA closed the week as the number-one cable network with Kids aged 2-11 (2.8/915K) and total viewers (1.7M)! The net also posted double-digit year over year gains for the week with Kids 2-11 (+12%) and was up +6% with total viewers.


The network's solid weekly ratings performance was fueled by brand-new Halloween-themed special episodes of its hit animation (Nicktoons) roster of "SpongeBob SquarePants", "Sanjay & Craig", "Fairly OddParents" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", which rank as the week's top four animated series with Kids 2-11, respectively. "SpongeBob SquarePants", "SpongeBob ScarePants" (Monday 14th October 2013 at 7pm all times ET/PT) ranked as the top animated series for the week with Kids 2-11 (5.6/1.8M) and drew 3.4M total viewers. A new episode of "Sanjay & Craig", "Blackout/Family Re-Noodman" (Saturday 19th October 2013 at 10:30am), scored the number-two spot with Kids 2-11 for the week (4.9/1.6M) and drew 2.8M total viewers. "The Fairly OddParents", "Scary GodCouple" (Saturday 19th October 2013 at 9:30 am) ranked third with Kids 2-11 (4.8/1.6M) and drew 3.0M total viewers. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Invasion of the Squirrelnoids" came in fourth with Kids 2-11 for the week (4.3/1.4M) and drew 2.6M total viewers.

Additionally, Nickelodeon Preschools "Bubble Guppies" and "Paw Patrol" rank as the top two preschool series or the week. "Bubble Guppies" took the top spot with an average of 7.3/938K with Kids 2-5 and "Paw Patrol" averaged a 7.1/909K with K2-5.

Nick at Nite posted double-digit year over gains with Adults 18-49 (+12% in delivery) and Women 18-49 (+16% in delivery) for the week. The net's increases were fueled by its hit original family comedies, a new episode of "Instant Mom" (Saturday 20th October 2013 at 8:30pm) delivered a solid ratings performance, drawing 1.3M total viewers and posting double-digit increases with Kids 6-11 (+32%). A brand-new episode of "See Dad Run" (Saturday 20th October 2013 at 8:30pm) drew 1.4M total viewers and posted double-digit gains with M18-49 (+50%).

NEW YORK – Oct. 22, 2013 – Nickelodeon closed the week as the number-one cable net with Kids 2-11 (2.8/915K) and total viewers (1.7M). The network also posted double-digit year over year gains for the week with Kids 2-11 (+12%) and was up +6% with total viewers.
