Singapore's MediaCorp Acquires Nickelodeon And MTV Programming From Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Asia

The children's entertainment and media news website Kidscreen is reporting the Nickelodeon News in the following article that Singapore-based Media Corporation of Singapore Pte Ltd, better known as MediaCorp, has secured a deal with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Asia that will see the media company launch Nick Jr. on its OTT (over-the-top content) Toggle Kids channel and SVOD (subscription video on Demand) service in early 2014.

In addition, MediaCorp has also acquired new programming licenses that will bring more than 230 hours of Nickelodeon and MTV programming to Toggle Kids and Toggle Eve subscribers over the next year including popular series such as "SpongeBob SquarePants", "Dora the Explorer", "Go, Diego, Go!", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Awkward", "Shibuhara Girls", and "Friendzone":

Singapore-based MediaCorp has secured a deal with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Asia that will see the media company launch Nick Jr. on its OTT Toggle Kids channel and SVOD service in early 2014.

MediaCorp also acquired new programming licenses that will bring more than 230 hours of Nickelodeon kids programming to Toggle Kids and Toggle Eve subscribers over the next year including popular series such as SpongeBob Square Pants, Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego, Go!, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Awkward, Shibuhara Girls, and Friendzone.

The deal comes on the heels of MediaCorp purchasing more than 260 hours of Zodiak Kids programming for Toggle Kids including Totally Spies, Dani's Castle, Dani's House, Little Princess, Team Galaxy, Street Football, Trapped, Norman Normal, Martin Mystery, Gormiti, Monster Buster Club and Lili's Island.
