Nickelodeon UK And Macmillan Team Up To Launch "The Book Zone" Children's Summer Reading Initiative

According to the official Nickelodeon UK websites' official "The Book Zone" website, Nick.co.uk/a/bookzone, Nickelodeon UK have teamed up with Macmillan, an imprint of British book publisher Pan Macmillan, to launch a brand new initiative and promotion called "The Book Zone", a brand new Book Club which aims to encourage children to "Get Stick Into These Fab Summer Reads" and to read more books over the summer season.

As part of Nickelodeon UK's and Macmillan's "The Book Zone" summer reading initiative, Nickelodeon UK and Macmillan have launched a brand new website on the official Nickelodeon UK website called "The Book Zone", which showcases five popular children's books handpicked by Nickelodeon UK and Macmillan - 'Tony Robinson's Weird World of Wonders: Egyptians' (by Tony 'Baldrick' Robinson), 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Flies Again' (by Frank Cottrell Boyce), 'Lucky Stars: The Best Friend Wish' (by Phoebe Bright), 'The Dotty Dalmatian' (by Anna Wilson), and 'My Super Sister' (by Gwyneth Rees) - which Nickelodeon UK and Macmillan are recommending to help get children interested in reading books during the summer.

Each children's book has its own webpage on Nickelodeon UK's and Macmillan's official "The Book Zone" website, which features more information, including an introduction, extracts, more information (bios) about each books author, a link to each books product page on the official Amazon UK website, Amazon.co.uk, where you can buy the book, plus exciting activities based on each of the books, including online games, online streaming video clips about each book, and exclusive downloadable printable activities, such as 'Tony Robinson's Weird World of Wonders History Passport'. Each books webpage also features a link to the books official webpage on the official Pan Macmillan website, PanMacmillan.com.

Each week, Nickelodeon UK and Macmillan will also pick one children's book featured on their official "the book Zone" Nickelodeon website to be showcased as "The Book Zone"'s "Book of the Week".

Nickelodeon UK's and Macmillan's official "The Book Zone" website also features an exclusive competition based on the 'Tony Robinson's Weird World of Wonders' book series, where lucky entrants have the chance to an Apple iPod shuffles and sets of 'Tony Robinson's Weird World of Wonders Egyptians and Romans' books.
